Nihon Buyo or Nichibu Dance
Nihon Buyo is the classical Japanese performing art of dance.The style we perform can be called “Nichibu,” “Buyo” or “Nihon Buyo,” all of which translates as Japanese dance
Emiko Ishii is trained in Nihon Buyo, Wakayagi Ryu style by Sensei Hiroko Tanaka from Kyoto and uses the foundations to train Epika Dancers. This includes fan & Umbrella work.
What We Offer
Epika Dancers are trained in Kathak & Bharatanatyam. We are able to offer performances that are traditional but also modern fusion pieces using popular Songs.
